Career Services is ringing in the New Year with a host of exciting activities, services and resources!  Be sure to visit the Career Services website: www.sbc.edu/career-services.  
You will find a calendar full of workshops, career fairs and events offered on campus during spring, 2012.  Whether you visit online or in person, Sweet Briar Career Services is here to serve all students.

Regarding the class of 2011: 97 percent of the reporting students from the Class of 2011 are either employed, (58%) pursuing further study, (26%) or engaged in personal endeavors such as professional internships (13%).  

A New Year—Time For an Internship!
A recent survey found that graduates who had been in an internship fared far better in the job market than their peers who had not – and whether it was in their major or not.

It is never too early or too late to start looking for an internship.The Career Services Internship webpage now hosts a large number of listings of local and abroad internship opportunities you can explore.  Seeking academic credit for your internship?  All Internship for Academic Credit forms must be completed and turned into Career Services by the Deadline: Friday, January 27.
